When you think of a woman of color who walks the walk and talks the talk, Aimee Allison is one of those women. I have admired her for a long time for being 100% unapologetic and steadfast in her commitment to seeing women of color, especially Black women, get the credit and respect they deserve for the role they play as political activists and leaders. In our interview, Aimee and I talk about her work at Democracy in Color focusing on the New American Majority, the Get in Formation campaign for Stacey Abrams, her fiery speech at Netroots Nation 2018, and of course, the upcoming She The People Summit.
